“ My favorite sushi place in Murrieta or Menifee. Never too busy, excellent sushi and friendly staff. Been in dozens of times and have never been disappointed. ”

“ Sonny, our server, was incredible. She is kind, attentive, and thorough. I enjoyed the upscale casual environment and food selection. When I asked (a different server) what they recommended, I was surprised to be suggested the Murrieta role since it had ribeye steak (and tempura shrimp). When coming to a sushi restaurant, I would hope the fish would speak more highly. However, I must say my company and I were both blown away with the Thanksgiving role (jalapeño, cilantro, yellowtail, salmon, avocado, spicy albacore, cucumber)! The complex zest, spice, juiciness and freshness of the fish was outstanding! So much so... that we had two! We also ordered the Spanish role, which was delightful but could not compare to how special the Thanksgiving role was. Unfortunately, we both had a negative experience with "The Alex" GF roll. There was a strong "punch" of something that tasted as if it was about to turn. When we inquired about it, service apologized but educated us that the real crab does have a strong scent - and that it likely came from there. No fault to the restaurant, it was a learning experience for us both and you don't know what you prefer until you try! So... that's when we ordered the second Thanksgiving role. Delicious. We both ordered the Macaroon ice cream (coffee) / it was "ok". The Macaroon itself was too hard and had the texture of an old graham cracker. The ice-cream in the middle was good and had a great kick of coffee taste! I wouldn't ordered it again unless they sandwiched the macaroon cookie with the ice cream once ordered. I believe they keep it frozen together, which compromises the texture, and taste, or the macaroon. ”

“ My kids favorite Asian food spot! When we want authentic Chinese food, we always come here. Always fresh ingredients and made to order. Our faves are the salt and pepper shrimp, orange chicken, chow mein, and honey walnut shrimp. My daughters love their teriyaki dishes. I love their service! Servers are always so welcoming and happy. Genuine and thoughtful. Always checking on us if we need anything. Ambiance was exceptional- peaceful, calm and very inviting. I've yet to try every dish on the menu because the ones we always order are sooooo good! ”

“ we went here as first timers with some friends and had such a great time! the sushi was amazing and so was their non sushi items we tried. we got california rolls, miso soup( LOVED), a few tuna hand rolls, chicken fried rice (was my favorite) and a couple other items to try out! my kiddos also loved looking at the fishes when you walk in. overall we will be back. had such a great experience ”

“ I've been to this location so many times over the past years and I genuinely do enjoy the food. However, during this visit, something was missing. Visited Sunday around 11:30. We were helped right away and we're given plenty of time to decide what to order. The fried chicken pieces, I do not recommend. It didn't come with any dipping sauce. Just imagine small orange chicken pieces without the sauce. That's exactly what was served pretty much. The spicy tuna bowl needed something, I wish the spicy tuna was cubed, instead of diced up. Other than that, everything else was great. Instrumental music playing in the background as usual and friendly staff as well. Plenty of parking. ”

“ Have been here quite a few times over the last few years and for most part it's been pretty consistent with regards to quality of food but the service has been up and down but never bad enough to take off more than a star other than them not honoring a valid coupon for $5 off total dinner check. There aren't many better options for Japanese food so I'll be back. ”

“ Another 4 star review that starts with something we didn't like. We were craving some sushi after church, and I remembered seeing the sign for JJ down the street. Pulled up to see that JJ is a combination sushi and Chinese restaurant. After warning my family that I've never had good sushi when it is combined with something else.... i.e. sushi and ramen, sushi and Chinese, sushi and tattoo parlor etc. but we decided to give it a shot.... Greeted and sat immediately. The place was clean and inviting. I would call it sushi diner vibe. The menu is extensive. Many unique rolls and sushi options, as well as a full Chinese menu. What we ate..... Spanish roll - 2.5 out of 5, it just wasn't my flavor combination Murietta roll - 2.5 out of 5, also not my favorite ** I want to clarify that I was not a fan of the sushi wr ordered but the rolls were very fresh and good quality, we just tried some things that we normally wouldn't order. In no way was it bad ** Orange chicken - 5 out of 5... deliciously crunchy and not too sweet or spicy. Will absolutely get it again. Shrimp fried rice - 5 out of 5... fluffy and flavorful and packed with shrimp. Not the one and a half shrimp you get at some places. Gyoza and edamame as appetizers also great. We will be back for the Chinese food, and will definitely try some traditional sushi... maybe we can get to 5 stars! ”

“ The oysters on this side of the coast have been fantastic. The restaurant kept up that reputation. I did not love the rainbow roll I had ordered. To be honest the roll was large it was awkward to eat. I'm not one who is usually bothered by that but it was very obvious. Also the crab meat just had a taste I did not like but my Aunt enjoyed it. I've just had better that has had more of an assortment fish than slices of avocado to spread it out. Miso soup was also on the less flavorful side. It's a very open floor plan so there's not a lot of privacy but many seating options inside only. The main reason I gave 4 stars was because the service was excellent. Deserved 3 but I'd be willing to give another try. ”

“ My husband and I had a great time eating here for the first time. We ordered Kung pao tofu, sweet and sour fish fillet and I believe we also got the Las Vegas crunchy roll. Everything was delicious. The place looks really nice and well decorated. However, it took them longer to serve the sweet and sour fish fillet so I was already full when it arrived. Serving portions are big, so it was really nice to share the meal with my husband. Anyway, I look forward to dining here again and try some of their delicious meals. ”

“ Thanks to Yelp reviewer of this place which made me picking a place to dine in! We are greeted by pleasant environment, sushi maker in the middle, surrounded by bar table and some booth seating. Sat down by the boots seating and we are served with complimentary Miso Soup that as part of our order. I could not describe the level of the deliciousness of the sashimi and the baked rolls! And for Hand Roll - the sushi rice is warm leaving a great taste on my mouth! AND the time we dined in making us eligible for Happy Hour for Sake which was a good surprise! Last but not least, through Yelp Check In - I received certain amount of discount which adding more good points on this place!!! ”
